Chancel Choir for adults who love to sing and praise God through traditional hymns and contemporary anthems. The choir sings at each service starting the first Sunday of October through the end of May. The choir practices on Wednesday night's at 7:00 p.m. at the Church.
The Good News Choir is open to all who love to sing, but feel they can't. This choir is committed to increasing the skills of voice production, sight reading, breath control, rhythm, harmony, vocal range, arranging, performing and expanding repertoire that praises God with the help of experienced sections leaders and guest musicians. The music styles range from folk music to classical. The choir is accompanied by piano, guitar, percussion, dancers and guest musicians. The Good News Choir is scheduled to sing every third Sunday of the month and to fill in where necessary. This Choir reherses on Wednesday evening from 8:00 - 9:45 p.m. Our long term goal was to become proficient enough to join the Chancel Choir and community church choirs for special music events.
Coro Angelico (Children's Choir): Our purpose is to develop a love of praising God through music for four year olds and up. Children receive some vocal coaching and experience in singing solos and in other languages. They sometimes join the adult choirs for special music events. Rehearsal time is after church on Sunday morning from 11:15 to approximately 11:30 a.m. Coro Angelico sings for the church service every fourth Sunday of the month.
Guitar Classes for children and adults: Guitar instruction is given on Saturday morning for Children and Friday evening for adults. The goal is to develop playing skills in order to praise God through music. A donation of $5.00 per student per lesson is given to the Music Fund of the church to help develop the church's music program. Some of our younger students are already accompanying the children's choir. We have a vision that this will grow into a praise band.
